The book has glossy paper. I don't know what you consider "heavy-weight" but it is of good, sturdy quality. Given the high quality of the book and the abundance of pictures, along with the more specialized subject matter, the price is reasonable. I agree that at $75 it is a little steep, but after checking out some other pics from inside, I can see where the expense comes from.<br /><br />One question I had, however, is about the quality of the construction.
